Energy management strategy based on dynamic programming with durability extension for fuel cell hybrid tramway

Abstract This paper proposes an energy management strategy for a fuel cell (FC) hybrid power system based on dynamic programming and state machine strategy, which takes into account the durability of FC hydrogen consumption system. The first uses principle to solve optimal distribution between supercapacitor (SC), then optimization results update threshold values in each finite realize real-time output SC. An FC/SC tramway simulation platform is established RT-LAB simulator. compared verify that proposed EMS can improve FC, increase its working time high-efficiency range, effectively reduce consumption, keep charge ideal range.
